If Gunrun wants to actually try and set things right he’d personally donate 500k of his own funds to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, but I imagine this “apology” is all we’ll get.
I had no expectations how gunrun would reply and I'm still disappointed.
I just read Vei's account of why she left vshoujo, and damn, now I regret giving gunrun any sort of benefit of the doubt. Holy.
I never gave him the benefit of the doubt, and likewise with my producer. I'm afraid that something odd is afoot on Justin's part.
their COO has begun to push a narrative on 4chan (yes im serious lmfao) and other social media that i am leaving because i plan to join OTK and that both me and silvervale are troublemakers, so they were "letting" us go. later i found out that nyanners wanted to leave around the same time due to also being unhappy with the contract, but was told that she couldn't because it did not fit their narrative that they were pushing internally AND externally.
Holy shit what the fuck
I mean, as far as corporate apologies go, it could've been way way worse. So often I've seen execs blaming everyone but themselves, and completely shirking responsibility.
Still, the whole situation is very disappointing.
Oh btw those who don't know, vshojo is not his first business. He founded Justin.TV and that became twitch.tv. that also was about to shut down because mismanagement but somehow got Amazon to buy it. was part of the team that founded twitch.Tv. sorry, massive misinformation from. I mixed up stories and didn't verify.
What frankly amazes me is this hasn't prompted an investigation from the feds, but given the inmates are literally running the asylum right now, I can see nothing happening.
So he actually "owned up" to it, in a sense. That's little (if any) consolation, but still.
Reading the replies is a whole rollercoaster. There's a lot of talents venting, Kson being very concise but asking exactly the questions that need to be asked (I love that woman), and Henya's tweet is just heartbreaking.
Glad that we can somehow get a closure on this, and hopefully every talent can move on to a happy career/life.
(On a side note... isn't witholding money meant for a charity and not paying your employees for months kind of a criminal offense? I appreciate the communication but he's not gonna get off scot free just by apologizing, right...?)
