Because there is choice. There is very little choice on Windows or Mac, so there's not really anything to argue about đ Champagne problems, if ya ask me.
It really doesn't. I highly doubt there isn't office politics going on inside Microsoft, Apple and Google, but unlike them, Linux development is all public. If anything, that's likely to curtail a lot of bad behavior rather than encourage it.
It's sane to have drama. It means we have humans doing the job and power dynamics being discussed.
If there's no drama, it means some people got shut down.
There is drama in everything. I don't think GNU/Linux is any different. I don't really care about what distro other people use tbh, I can joke about it but never seriously argue for which distro, text editor, programming language, etc. is the best. I just like that I can choose and get just what I want.
