Have you seen the standard for cops? It's almost as low as priests. Screw up somewhere, just get yourself shuffled to another place if things haven't blown over by the time your paid leave is up.

Management, moral, targets, inhumane methods, feeling forced to hide your identity, being dispiced by the public, etc. etc. Noting positive mentioned in the article. Why not quit? You're not the pope, it's not a job for life!
They're perfectly capable of doing their job in a humane and legal way, they're choosing not to do so. Would they get fired? Maybe, but that's when you have grounds for a lawsuit or a story to sell the press.
