But investigators are also zeroing in on what they describe is an interesting point in the report.
It says in December 2018, the US Federal Aviation Administration issued a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) highlighting that some Boeing 737 fuel control switches were installed with the locking feature disengaged.
Ahh. Although I doubt they've been like that for ten years, if that's happened here, so likely a maintenance issue.
- Blancolirio's video (link below) on the topic said that that there was a suggested (but not required) maintenance item and that it has not been done on the accident aircraft.
  Though the accidental switch bump hypothesis seems less likely to me considering that the engines were shut off one second apart. Maybe the final report will provide an explanation for that...
