  • According to davel, .ml admin, it's "Rule 1 bigotry" to talk about the atrocities of the NK dictatorship on the lemmy.ml instance and you'll be banned and censored for it

  • authoritarian cult of personality in charge of North Korea is beyond simply believing in a certain form of society and economics, it's unhinged and sociopathic.

    Just to add to the unhinged, they (Prominent tankies like davel, dessalines, cowbee, Geneva_conveience, yogthos esp) constantly push the idea that authoritarianism doesn't exist and is nothing but a "CIA anti-communism Op" (or alternatively you'll see them spout "All states are authoritarian so therefore none are")

  • It's because it's part of my .ml cross-posting campaign, I try to maintain the original link as much as possible so it shows in the crosspost menu of clients

    I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don't want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some niche comms.

    I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

    On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like "Lemmy? Isn't that the place with a bunch of tankies?" Or "Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left". The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

  • No not really, because of my stance against .ml, my detractors/their defenders will show up from time to time no matter what account I use, take this one for example, it's one of my oldest alts with extensive posting and comments so anyone who wanted to block it would have by now.

    Though it really isn't that often, I think I'm going about a week or more before encountering another comment about me "being a bot"/CIA op
