Christian Horner was sacked by Red Bull after 20 years as team principal; the team have not publicly provided a reason for his dismissal; Horner is also understood to be unaware of the specific reasons for his departure midway through the F1 season
Sky is basically saying they don't know the reasons why it happened – but what seems to have happened is that the "Austrian" side of the business ‐ sports CEO Oliver Mintzlaff and part-owner Mark Mateschitz – have managed to convinced majority-owner Yoovidhya to drop support for Horner.
This is not about the team, it is about the Red Bull brand and the marketing value. And with all the negativity around the team, it has gone down. It was in the past years accepted because the sporting performance was good, but that has now come to an end.
