Australia issues Elon Musks Twitter with a please explain notice over surge in online hate
Billionaire Elon Musk's social media platform Twitter has been issued with a demand from Australian authorities for information on what it is doing to tackle online hate.
One of those "it's a feature, not a bug" situations.
I don't think they're going to get much by way of a response.
Maybe this will lead to the government blocking Twitter, probably through something incredibly easy to bypass like DNS.

Twitter has to be designed to be the most toxic cesspool of a website, and with the content moderation pretty much non-existent all hell breaks loose. It's bad takes and trash opinions galore, no wonder it fosters hate!
why doesnt australia develop its own social media app? restrictive laws?
