European partners reportedly caught off guard as US halts arms shipments to Ukraine
According to Bloomberg, some European allies hope the Trump administration will soften or reverse the decision.
I was actually more surprised that deliveries were still being made after January.
Well, the administration supposedly made some kind of minerals deal to continue to support Ukraine. (It was just bullshit PR for Trump "making deals".)
Still, I doubt any partner was surprised by this as the Trump administration is pointlessly unpredictable.
Guess trump didn't need that mineral deal after all...
Which is all-the-more nonsensical given trump used Ukraine as a reason why the US military budget needed to go all the way up to 1 trillion...
I had forgotten about this. Hopefully the mineral deal has a provision that allows sudpending it if the USA stop supporting Ukraine, or throw Ukraine under the bus.
