I was pleasantly surprised by the trailer.
I mean, a lot of the early astronauts were muscle-bound nerds. They were in the military and mostly working as test pilots; physical fitness was paramount!
Isnt it the point that he is not an actual astronaut? I have only watched the trailer
Without spoiling too much in the book he isn't muscley on earth but is once he is in space for a well explained reason. However, he's also meant to be clean shaven in space due to the same reason and it looks like they've changed that so who knows.
Correct. He's a scientist turned schoolteacher.
It's not really what I imagined when I read the book. I am still going to watch it.
