I don’t think anyone saw the last thread so if you think your pump lotion has run out, even after adding a little water and shaking, open it and look inside. It seems the pump bottle is very inefficient packaging and there’s quite a lot left.
I initially planned to cut the bottle open to decant but might check whether an old Cetaphil cap fits. If it does I can just store the bottle upside down and squeeze the last of it out. Another cap might work, try what you have.
I bought a better pair of supermarket slippers with thick rubber soles to keep the cold floor from seeping through.
I’m also back to trying to find a safe Linux iso to make an old computer usable again. It has a disc drive so it can be used to watch dvds and function as a temporary backup if my current one breaks.
I’ve put the heater on a few times but am mostly managing with extra layers, electric blanket, hot water bottles and hot drinks. Still not looking forward to the bills.
When I get close to the end of a bottle I buy a new one and use it for a while. Then I carefully balance the old bottle upside down with the cap off on the new one and let the contents of the old bottle drain into the new bottle. Really helps getting rid of that feeling of being wasteful!
