Aw did the mean words hurt them? Israel's actively ordering bombings of children and shootings of starving mothers. It's like saying "Death to the wehrmact"
While I agree that the chant might be a bit crass, I think it's his right to say it. He's saying the army and what it does is shit, and should suffer. I find it very discouraging that such a statement is called antisemitic. The way you frame it is exactly how I see it, it's death to the abusers, to the killers, the soldiers. It's about the violence committed by the army.
It would be as if The Andrew Sisters at a gig in 1943 shouted "Death to the wehrmacht", and people reacted with "well that's quite anti-german innit?". No it's not, it's anti Wehrmacht, just like his chant has something specifically to do with the IDF, not with Israelis.
Whataboutism only makes you look small minded, braindead, even. As if team sports is as complicated as your tiny brain can comprehend, and thusly you process all world events as if they're team sports. You know, like a moron.
No "death to Nazis" chants? That obviously makes your point invalid since you didn't discuss them. (/s, this is the equivalent argument and it's ridiculously stupid and childish.)
Ya but did you ever consider all the morals and values they taught the younger generations, (post boomers and most individuals who were positioned to benefit from the internet boom) was just another weapon used by capitalism? Things like the Golden Rule, protecting those weaker than ourselves, equality, love, etc were lessons those older than us had no intentions of following. They crushed their opponents and ensured no younger generation would ever be powerful enough to overthrow them.
It's funny that the chud line is to question the loyalty of the festival goers, when they're going to bat for an organisation that murdered three British citizens last year.
Whilst I'll never agree with such chants, see the thing is whilst this embassy official might not give two shits about the amount of wanton death being inflicted by the IDF, others do.
