I don't start work for a few hours but I am will probably stay busy all day because I am like the only sysadmin for my part of the organization.... its a type of job that either is boring with nothing but maintenance or the fucking world is on fire and everyone wants me to do something about it
I'm unemployed, but not goofing off. Going to renew my health card, then working on a project, then possibly cooking supper for my benefactors (but also possibly not cooking supper).
Since I have to come in to work on Saturday for "a couple of hours" and I know it is going to be a full shift from 2pm to 10pm, I am not exactly in a very productive mood today. If anyone tries to bug me at my desk, I am definitely gonna go out to a random production area and space out while I stare at machinery for a couple of hours
I work a 4 day week with fridays off. It's pretty chill, but to be honest I think about working on fridays again. Maybe optimal for me would be to have every second friday off. Every friday off is a lot of free time, that I can mostly appreciate when I work. You know?
Ehhh to be honest, I've gotten a little too comfortable on the other days of the week just slacking off, so I'm hoping my brain will let me power through at least a few items today so I don't look like I'm doing nothing.
My work does 4x10s so most people choose to have Fridays off instead of Mondays, which means it's extra quiet on Fridays. Great for productivity.
I work for my inlaws in a very small shop. We're taking all of next week off, so I hustled all morning to get work done. Now that it's after lunch, I will be coasting and doing the absolute bare minimum.
I have been getting rawdogged by private equity all year, it won't be stopping anytime soon. Nothing says efficiency like taking a 60-90 day project and quadrupling the costs and EDT.
I got rawdogged so hard that I'm unemployed now. Went from an utterly crushing pace and workload to nothing. I mean I like not having to work right now, but once the megar severance I got runs out,I will enjoy it a lot less.
