I'm sure it's a fine movie but the trailers looked generic. Pixar's track record has been shaky lately so I'd rather wait for streaming, especially since this is giving me Mars Needs Moms vibes.
I have neither heard nor seen anything about this movie outside of some YouTubers showing a picture of the poster, going "you didn't know this released, right?"
If it wasn't for them and this post, I wouldn't even know the movie existed.
To be fair, Wish was quite bad and was largely panned by critics and the audience after release. Elio so far seems to have gotten a better response by both.
I half watched this while cleaning the other day. Visually it was nice. There are cute accessory characters. The parts of the story I heard were fine but I can't speak to how well the plot was connected. It's no Soul but I'd say around the quality of that one that's not inside out but is also anthropomorphized feelings.
How to train your dragon was pretty good. I didn't see the original but the remake was competently done. The lead actors did the job and the adult supporting actors were good. Good mix of action and story. Be yourself and all that.
