Here is an idea. Cats as parliamentary members.
MPs as rat catchers.
Most of the MPs. Are able to safely handle automatic doors.
While cats are at least as useful as most MP in parliament.
Why would the rats try to catch more rats?
Reduce competition for the lobbying cheese.
