Perth's first east-west rail connection opens after 18 months of disruption

The Thornlie-Cockburn link and adjacent rail elevation in Perth's south-east is part of WA Labor's flagship infrastructure project Metronet.

It will be interesting to see how popular this line is. It has to mainly be for people along the line to connect to the city lines, right?
- I've heard that part of the initial justification is it's going to make access to and from the Perth stadium a lot better for people coming from Mandurah.
Its a shame they don't seem to be doing posters like these again.
