These were growing under my chair. Some questions...

Will it go away if I just clean the chair?
What species it this?
Do I have to burn my house down?
How to avoid them from reappearing?

Wear a mask, clean in an open space, buy and use a dehumidifier, maybe slather some a new paint job on the walls, vacuum more often.
Far as I remember, white - yellow is standard variety and less harmful. Red - black though, that's when you're fucked.

- Yeah I think moisture management is gonna be the main issue here IMHO
  
  It rains frequently in the area. I don't even know anyone who uses a dehumidifier.

I am not a mycologist, but I think any form of fungi IN HOUSE is not good :D OP I hope this is not your in house chair.

- Reading your comment made me remember when I had mushrooms poking out (downwards) of the bathroom ceiling in one house I used to live
