Been there, mate. I also would like to know how coffee gets onto the counter when pouring slowly from a carafe into a cup. Even more mysteriously, how is it that on rare occasions I come down to coffee between the carafe and burner without any apparent overflow or crack in the carafe? Coffee doesn't obey the laws of physics.
I also have to be on a call with my boss and his boss in 45 minutes, and I have to take my daughter to school first and she is dragging ass getting out of bed. I might wind up having to pull over and take this meeting in my car.
Don’t feel bad. I did this once with a half carafe of coffee. Forgot to put the stupid carafe underneath before hitting the button and walking away. Suddenly my wife goes “wow, it really smells like coffee in here,” as I walk out to find it all over the counter and floor.
I like my coffee strong, and a few days ago I put too much in the filter so it went over the edge when it started brewing. That clogged the hole where it was supposed to run out through at the bottom, causing it all to flow over the side instead. From there it went to the front edge the table, and into all the drawers except the very bottom one.
I also don't have a dishwasher... That was an annoying cleanup.
Yep. Started the machine and carried my breakfast out to my desk. Had to go back for something and thought, "something sounds wrong", but it was almost finished.
I had a solid block of meetings this morning, but they're over now. I made myself grilled cheese with tomato for lunch, so it's turning out better than it started.
