You clearly don’t understand. Opposing the genocide means you support the Palestinians committing their own genocide on the Zionists!
Instead of, ya know, giving the Palestinians dignity and emancipation, hoping for a future where they can live side by side or at least in their own sovereign states.
This just reinforces my previous assertion that the mods of !europe@feddit.org, or at the very least some of them have a serious Zionism problem. Actually considering the amount of Zionist apologists in the other thread I would wager that Feddit.org has a serious Zionist problem.
I mean just read rule 4 of that comm. It says "don't question the statehood of Israel" in the rule banning hate speech, ostensibly to comply with German law. Germany has no such law (yet). They're at the very least running defense for Zionists. I got warned by the mods to delete or edit parts of my side of an argument where I argued for a one-state solution over there the other day.
According the the German Law they uphold, any mention of the reality that Israel is Settler Colonialist, an Apartheid, acknowledging that Israel is comitting genocide, any criticism of Zionism, and any Palestinian emancipatory slogans are all considered antisemitic.
Meaning according to German Law: BT'Selem, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the International Court of Justice, the United Nations, Euro-Med Monitor, Save the Children, Jewish Voice for Peace, Jewish Voice for Labor, Ilan Pappe, Avi Schlaim, Norman Finkelstein, and historical figures such as Albert Einstein and Hannah Ardent are all antisemitic for their (correct) views on Israel and Zionism.
Depending on how devout the mods and admins of that comm are, all of the above are considered antisemitic based on rule 4 and warrant comment/post removals if not outright bans.
Controversially, the German government officially classifies the following as antisemitic: the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, the accusation that Israel is committing the crime of apartheid against Palestinians, and the depiction of Israel as a colonial or settler-colonial entity. Many of those arrested and cancelled in Germany over allegations of antisemitism have been Jews critical of Israel's policies.[4]
According to Australian historian A. Dirk Moses, German anti-antisemitism has involved the infusion of new tropes into German public discourse, with a focus on "post-colonial antisemitism", "Israel-related antisemitism" and "hatred of Israel", creating a link between antisemitism—hatred of Jews—and anti-Zionism. It is used to imply that solidarity with Palestinians, which is particularly widespread in the global south, is due to hatred of Jews rather than the expression of a legitimate political view of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the aim of this being to prevent postcolonial academics as well as the German art and museum scenes from fostering the spread of such views
Habermas defines anti-Semitism as a set of “sentiments and convictions” that, while normally “cultivated” (?) in the privacy of people's living rooms, may come to the fore, in the form of condemnations of the Israeli mass killings in Gaza suggesting that such killings might turn into, or might in fact already constitute, genocide.
The feddit.org admins are planning to make an official announcement on how they see the situation and there was an internal discussion about this where it was agreed to wait for that official announcement. This is the main reason these topics were closed.

I suggest that any "announcement" should be made here as their overeager mod managed to ban number of users defending Palestinians and therefore made any discussion over there not possible.
Willing to bet if their priorities are where I think they are, they won't do that. Why would they want to facilitate easy discussion of or against their Zionist policies? No if we want that here someone will have to crosspost it most likely.
When is the announcement planned for? It's been a couple days since the topics were locked. Without any further word on it this is no different than standard censorship.
I'd do it but I'm not super interested in modding such a large community and I'm not sure if @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com would want such a big general community here. I'd create it if he's okay with it and if people would be willing to step up to replace me.
Seems like they've been banning people who don't cater to or go along with their Zionist apologia. They've also been locking and removing many such posts in support of Palestine, or critical of Israel.
Why would an instance hosted in Austria have a comm declare that they follow German law... for a Europe-centric subreddit? Either way, posting news about the genocide of Palestinians is hardly denying the existence of Israel.
You folks should see all the comments in the butt-hurt Ich Im echten Leben thread on the previous PTB post. The amount of excuses being made there for being called out as pro-genocide is Wahnsinn.
Naja. Deutsche sind ja Deutsche wieder. See you soon on the next ich_iel thread about this post.
When I look at their sidebar and unless there is some additional missing context on ban evasions or or the news sources of the topics against the rules (e.g. Al Jazeera on Israel) none of these things are against the rules.
The one I see that is in the same topic area is "we follow german law; do not question the statehood of Israel". I added my own emphasism.
My interpretation is you cannot advocate for the eradication or dismantling of the state. But then this is over moderation on any topic on Israel from any source to probably prevent any discussion and then no moderation of the comments are needed. I wonder if my being an anarchist is a ban-able offense!
