The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony

I wasn’t the worlds biggest fan of (The) Verve at the time but I have no qualms in posting this as a very admirable song. Good video, too.

The fun fact I found out about it is that the Rolling Stones song The Last Time is used as the basis for Bitter Sweet Symphony and caused the Stones’ former manager to refuse rights permissions. This meant Jagger and Richards were technically the song’s writers until 2019 when the rights were bestowed by the manager’s son after his father passed away. No royalties were paid to The Verve at all, only a single payment of $1000.
