A majority of Americans say President Trump is a "dangerous dictator" who poses a threat to democracy and believe he's overstepped his authority by actions such as the mass firing of federal employees, a new survey says.
The wide-ranging poll released Tuesday, on Trump's 100th day in office, is the latest sign of him losing support for his immigration and economic policies — the two issues that largely fueled his election.
All the DNC needed to do was condemn Israel's genocide in Gaza and to stop enabling it. Instead, we have to deal with this shit. Maybe they'll learn and they can be swing to actual progressive, but I won't hold my breath.
That's not true at all. Online liberals would have found some other thing to crucify Harris over. The idea that some of you guys didn't support a candidate because of the actions of a foreign government, is simply baffling to me.
Sorry, I should have clarified. I'm not in that boat, but for the people who have told me they didn't vote, that was the biggest issue for them. Maybe there would have been something else, but I believe a policy change with Israel would have been enough to get those people out. I guess we'll never know.
I voted for Clinton and Harris enthusiastically. Are they perfect candidates? No. No candidate is perfect, and that's the problem with online leftists. Seemingly, they will only get off the couch when they have 100% of what they want. This is also why the party doesn't court leftists in this country. Because even if they give them 80% of what they want, that 20% will keep them on the internet complaining they're not getting that 20.
Yep. All or nothing, perfect or bust, nothing is ever fucking good enough. They'll screech for that last 20% (fair enough) but when they realize they might only get 80%, they'll sit on their ass on election day or vote 3rd party to "teach them a lesson".
I agree with them on pretty much most things, but my god, they're fucking insufferable.
Exactly. I'm very liberal, but I'm also a pragmatist. If we get half of the shit we want, lets fucking go. The idea that every single promise Biden had given that wasn't fulfilled was a reason to sit out was fucking stupid. The biggest one was student loan forgiveness. He did something, and the fucking republicans played lawfare to stop it and even then he still forgave almost a quarter of a billion dollars in loan debt.

How fucking entitled, and spoiled are you, that you let perfect be the enemy of good? Get out of your privileged bubble, and actually pull the fucking dog sled with everyone, instead of standing off to the side preaching about how you'd do it better.

👏
My favorite excuse I've heard is "Well, Trump getting elected isn't my fault. I didn't vote, which means I didn't vote for him".
If the technology existed for me to punch someone via the internet, I would have used it. And I'm a pretty peaceful guy lol.
Lazy, entitled, and just....not even living in the same reality it seems.
Like, instead of compromising ever so slightly to get 80% of what they want, they refuse to budge and get 0% of what they want. Worse, even, because now we're losing what we already had.
