He thought a bit more and added, “That’s what makes sourcerers so powerful. The important thing is to know what you really are.”
There was a pause full of philosophy.
“Rincewind?” said Conina, kindly.
“Hmm?” said Rincewind, who was still wondering how the words got into his head.
Most people just want to be able to roll dice and have fun with friends. Some will also enjoy the roleplaying. As a DM you just need to show up and have some resemblance of a plan or willingness to let them go off the rails and make shit up. That's all that a "good" DM is.
And if anyone ever expects you to be matt fucking Mercer then tell they better be sam riegel or gtfo.
I was gifted the "Enhance Tabletop RPG Adventurer's Bag" the battle map straps are my favorite feature. 4 campaign books, a DM screen, and a note pad pretty much fill the main compartment. I always try to cram in more and the zippers haven't busted on me yet!
