Motorola has officially unveiled its 2025 Razr lineup, introducing three new flip phones. Leading the pack is the Razr Ultra, which Motorola claims is the world’s most powerful flip phone, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Android journalists do the same pump and dump with the 9 - 12 month newer Motorola every year now. It's quite funny how they all just collectively ignore desynced release cycles and pretend like their comparison between the 2025 Motorola and the 2024 Samsung is a fair and/or useful one. Wouldn't you know it? The newer Motorola wins every single time! How surprising!
I really hate that I think this might be an option for me, just because I'd really like a phone with a small screen and flip phone with outside screens that you just leave closed seem to be the only fucking option to get one.
What I wish is more viable is the Huawei Pura SomeNumbers. It's passport sized when closed, with a usable portrait-ish small outer screen to fit besides two cameras. Opens like a book into a landscape orientation, to a 16:10 ratio screen. A dream device.
