My kid told me another knock-knock joke

Them: Knock knock!
Me: Who's there?
Them: Boo!
Me: Boo who?
Them: Boo! I'm a ghost!

Brilliant. Good setup, nice twist at the end.
- It definitely made me laugh harder than the usual version!
Afterwards, we went through the normal "don't cry, it's only a joke" routine... They thought about it, then said "I don't get it. Who's Boo?"
