I am not a fan of album art whose most prominent text is not the artist name or album title
I don't know a lot about the genre but I love Cranes, who apparently happen to be shoegaze.

Shoegaze is a genre I haven’t really listened to but have thought I might like. I do like Explosions in the Sky and I think they’re at least adjacent? Any starting bands you recommend?
Try the album Sunbather by Deafheaven. Original or the recent remaster, both are great.
