Trying to get back to creative work instead of just replication. This is my first attempt with my new skills, it's not bad but there are things I'm very much not happy with like her left hand for example. But I'm done struggling with it and ready to move on.
I use Sketchbook by Autodesk. Not the most robust piece of software, it doesn't compare to GiMP or Photoshop in features which is why I like it so much. Those tools have so much I get lost and my workflow is just so frustrating while I try to find things. This gets the job done super easily. Maybe one day when I am at the edge of what this app can do I'll move to GiMP but right now it has more than I can use.
I've been working a lot with Rebelle 7 personally and I like it for that reason. It's an art tool dedicated to recreating the physical/traditional art world and so it's much more streamlined in the amount of stuff it offers.
I can find everything super easily and I've never gotten lost while using it. It's epic.
(Also it has fantastic traditional art emulation stuff which is cool but more importantly the other stuff for this discussion)
I've never actually played the game either, I've just seen the show. Definitely check out the show if you get a chance though. It's one of the most incredible works of animation I think I've ever seen. There's not that many seasons, but they are high production and quality packed.
