This is an utter failure of oversight in governance. And likely a misappropriation of government funds.
I switched at the start of the month, with the uncertainty around the economy I finally did my PC upgrade I'd been procrastinating, and - why get a windows license? Just go Linux.
There are some specific use cases, like some commercial software (Adobe especially) and online gaming anti-cheat, that don't work on Linux, but other than that you have nothing to lose. And you can dual boot for those cases if you must.
Give it a shot and see if you like it. I, for one, am not going back.
Just saying, if you have to give a game kernel level access to your glorified porn viewer in order to play it, you should really reconsider if its a good idea to play it, both from a security as well as a mental view.
I'm mostly worried about the performance downgrade tbh. I remember trying the last of us on there and I had to dump the settings to low in order to even get 60 on my 3070 at 1080p when on windows I was on ultra getting consistently around 100. Maybe it was just that game idk
Conservatives kind of prove that in a lot of ways, power really is the only thing that matters. Smarts mean nothing if you can't leverage them and use the power you have when you have it. They pursue power for powers' sake and then use it, even if they do it hamfistedly.
