Oceana estimates Coca-Cola will release 1.33B pounds of plastic into oceans by 2030. The company dropped its reuse pledge.

Oh, and by the way, if you're ever in Berlin again and haven't tried it yet: Berliner Weiße (Berlin White) is also delicious, especially in summer. It's a beer that's usually served as a mixed drink with raspberry or woodruff syrup. Sounds strange, but it's worth a try.

Plastic bottles of that size should just be banned entirely
Just have a deposit on bottles and cans. You’ll have a cottage industry of people returning them if every empty bottle is worth, say a quarter.
