Not saying this is okay but this is the second time a building of the Amsterdam uni was occupied and both times there were millions in damage. I mean it's good to make media talk about the palastinan genocide and also good to pressure the university into breaking ties with Israeli institution and companies, but all the broken furniture and electronics have to be replaced (again) and that money would be so much more useful in Gaza and the West Bank.
Not in the article, but I feel for the second time now the occupation of the uni got hijacked by people (rightfully) angry about all the people dying in Gaza. I mean I understand those people but again, breaking other people stuff isn't a solution. Again, I don't think the violence used by the undercover police is fair, but I understand why they aren't able to do this peacefully.
This isn't about not being peaceful, this is about behaving like football hooligans and not about spraying some graffiti. The money spent on replacing the stuff they break is enough to build multiple schools and hospitals in Gaza. There are loads of other protests in the Netherlands and they aren't all peaceful but they are not like this. This is not your regular student protest either, there have been multiple across the country and stuff broke there too but some of the people who went in here went to break things. Even Tesla dealerships aren't taking this much damage. It's not even looting for their personal benefit, it's just breaking things to release their anger.
That is why you shoot them first. Preferably when they are at home and not geared up expecting it. Should be hunting them and putting them down like the rabid dogs they are. Cops are going to quit real fast if they start getting hunted down the way they hunt down innocents people.
ESPECIALLY ICE. Some beat cops are good folks trying to do their best. ICE is inherently an evil organization and anyone working for them deserves it.
