President Donald Trump told Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele he wanted to send "homegrown criminals" to El Salvador next and encouraged Bukele to build more prisons.
Does anyone else feel so un-motivated at work ever since Trump became president?
I can't sleep sometimes with the anxiety. I don't even want to try to be anything in this American society anymore if it means a criminal can be President.
What's the point?
Bad always wins. Good always suffers.
In a sane country people would be ripping the piping from their walls to use as weapons against a regime like this. Instead most people just don't notice or don't care. I actually don't see a future for my country anymore...
We knew they wanted to go in a fascist direction, but I doubt many of us imagined they'd have the concentration camps up and running within three months. Bukele says he won't return anyone, even if innocent, from this prison in El Salvador, and the director of the prison says that no one who goes in will ever return to their community. So how do you keep shipping prisoners into a camp without any of them coming out, and without the camp filling up? Maybe we're further along with the Nazi program than most people realize.
at what point is this not just a reactionary coup - the president's complete disregard of the Supreme Court's ruling and the Constitution means the United States of America is over, no? I mean, whatever this government is, it's no longer operating by the fundamental rules and laws that established this country, that define this government - this is a new, autocratic government operating by different rules.
This will also trigger a break down in law .... it's basically capital punishment ... break the law and you're out.
So to many people who see the writing on the wall .. if you're going to be punished severely, why not do as much as possible while you can before you're ejected ... or ride the lawbreaking for as long as you can until you get caught because you're screwed anyway
