Just the fact that I saw this, and it surprised me not at all, is a huge red flag. I totally understand that it's been (at least mostly) disproven, and it was likely just one asshat in his cabinet doing it for the sake of making sure their nose was lodged just as far as humanly possible into Trump's ass.

I would, just once, like to see something like this and be able to assume it's from the onion. Instead, every time I see something like this, I have to check, because as ridiculous as it is, it's well within the new standard for POTUS.

During this interaction he only puts the red hat on the important people while they are being photographed from afar so he can later tell the cops about their names and position. Smart Trump doesn't need a hostile informant to help the cops.
