  • Art is whatever someone calls "Art", because the only thing required to qualify as art is intent.

    You're art.

    This comment is now art.

    The real question should never be whether it is art, but rather if this art is effective art.

    And the effectiveness of art is measured by how well the artist express his/her/their intent.

    • Ok, now please explain the difference between "art" and "craft."

      • Crafts are functional objects usually made by skilled professionals, which is why they are called "handicraft" or "skilled craft". "Crafts" should be considered a subset of art, but emphasized on their original, functional nature.

        Like a basket, or a leather wallet, or a necklace, or StarCraft.
