The extended version of this calendar can be found here
Courtesy of RPG Site. I only found this calendar after this post was created and attracted some discussion, so I decided to leave this shorter version be and limit it to some selected games instead of logging everything. If you find a release date of a game you'd like to share, feel free to comment here or even send a trailer as a separate post!
Nayuta: Boundless Trails (PS4, Switch, Steam, EGS, GOG)
A spin-off to the Trails series with an action-RPG system like Ys SEVEN and Zwei II. It is already available on Steam, but only in Japanese for now.

(TODO: fill this ASAP!)
Updates
06/22: added games from Nintendo Direct as well as Eternights
06/27: clarified release date of CRYMACHINA and Ys X: Nordics
From this list i intend to play Final Fantasy XVI, Trails into Reverie, Sea of Stars, Nayuta: Boundless Trails and maybe Like a Dragon and Persona 5 tactica. So a lot to do fo me.
You could maybe add Eternights which will be released on 21th of september.
I wasn't sure about which genre(s) Eternights was, so didn't add it in the original post. I'm going to play its demo during Steam Next Game Fest this week as well as follow today's Nintendo Direct, so this page will surely be updated.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker on the Nintendo DS was pretty fire, so looking forward to The Dark Prince!
FF XVI doesn't seem like a JRPG anymore, but I do want to give the demo a try at least.
I Kickstarted Sea of Stars and have been hyped since the Kickstarter. In the same vein I also played Chained Echoes about a month ago and it has me hyped for more of that style of game.
(1) Probably this is the right time to start given the sales! In this post about Summer Sales on Steam and GOG, I've marked which Trails games are good to start with. Of course, there are a lot of other guides on that online as well.
Oh wow, I havent really been keeping up to date lately and didn't realize Etrian Odyssey finally came to the Switch. Loop8 looked so promising, but I just looked up more and the reviews I've been seeing are.. not great lol.
I'm also really excited for Star Ocean and Sea of Stars
