Sometimes it takes a while to add the content. Sometimes it won't add older content.

  Yeah, probably. I subscribed to https://kbin.social/m/GirlGames on vlemmy.net a while ago and it still doesn't have all of the older posts. The newer posts are syncing properly though. I assume it works the same in the opposite direction.
