I witness every single day of year 2025: People are NOT just watching. They are thrilled at "MAGA tears", on !leopardsatemyface@lemmy.world - they are cheering on "Tesla owners tears!!!" all over social machine systems. People are cheering on "Liberal Tears!!!" over and over as they have been since year 2015.

I think nobody is calling out the mockery / mocking / dehumanization via LOL "MAGA tears" of Americans. "LOL Liberal Tears" behaviors of Americans.

Eye for an eye philosophy. Taking the high road did nothing, so some are willing to walk the lower one instead.
Things already got worse and stability is no longer an option for certain parts of the population. Do you really expect respect from those who aren't afforded any?
Dehumanization brought us to this point. But I guess it's no longer fun when the dehumanized level down the playing field...

What high-road is that? I have seen absolutely no people doing cult deprogramming of Fox News audience, cult deprogramming of MAGA. I see people just doing "LOL MAGA dumb" counter-cult. That is only showing faith in dehumanization and mockery itself, which MAGA already had those faiths, Fox News audience was already manipulated.

Calling avoiding cult deprogramming the "high road", calling avoiding defending against Russian media invasion that started in 2013 the "high road" is not funny to me. There is a serious USA morality education crisis that people have such a "low bar" of measure that they can't even identify what "High Road" means in year 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025.

You should widen your horizons on the fediverse then because those who believe in a better way never stopped trying. Didn't work because we ended up where we are, but their efforts keep going even now.
There are still many who believe in a better world, only that some are tired of feeling like they're the only ones shouldering the responsibility of getting there. And I'd say they have a right to take break from that without being guilted into maintaining an otherwise state of tension and unease.
Why ask for more from the sufferers when we should ask it from those who cause the suffering? It ain't right.
