I think (hope) most of us with empathy get that this is real and a good thing. The thing with hate filled people that lack empathy, they want these people to suffer, they want them to be miserable and have a miserable life.
Somehow the misery of the .001% trans population makes their own miserable life’s more tolerable.
Edit: I should have said 1%. Leaving my original comment but conceding my percentage was off.
It's hard to generalize because it differs by age range and location, but figures for how many people identify as transgender tend to hover around 0.5% to 1%, so a bit more than you suggest.
I hope cis people are prepared to actually fight for trans people's rights, because in the current climate we need to show some solidarity and stand up for each other.
The USA is the country where you have no say in whether you get your own healthcare, but you sure get a lot of opportunities to deny needed healthcare to other people!
I think it’s incredibly sad that we even need to study this. It’s pretty obvious just from looking at cis men. Take almost any cis dude that has a condition that gives him enormous bojongohongos and he’ll be way happier with a breast reduction surgery. This is incredibly obvious to even transphobes.
So, a trans man with huge gongabadongos is obviously going to be way happier after a breast reduction surgery too. And hormones also have physical effects. Most guys like to have deep voices and facial hair. Not all, but most. So why wouldn’t a trans man?
