Generally no. Bulletproof glass is thick as hell and requires extensive modification to the door, plus it often precludes being able to roll the window down.
Some might opt for kevlar panelling in the door. Anything heavier goes back to "extensive modification" and turns an $80k cruiser into a $400k cruiser.
They buy MRAPs from the DoD on the cheap for armored vehicles.
I knew a guy in highschool that had an old cop car (think Blues Brothers). It had bullet proof windows that were probably half inch thick and you couldn't roll them down.
The front glass of cars is usually super laminated and you could hurl a couple of bricks at them without them busting through.
I read somewhere on lemmy that molotovs are actually closed bottles, the fabric is rolled around the neck and not going into the bottle. Which, when you think about it, makes much more sense.
