A limousine belong to Vladimir Putin burst into flames after a tremendous explosion was heard along a Moscow street close to the FSB headquarters on March 29
I'm amazed no one has pointed out the possibility that this was staged by Putin himself as a prerequisite to enforce greater surveillance, military and police presence, claim opposition and Ukraine to be terrorists, and so on. This is, besides a malfunction, much more likely than a failed assassination attempt that went this badly, doesn't have a suspect, and got reported on.
Now they're getting it - blow up putin - end of war and Ukraine prevails. Also, trump and his entire criminal organization no longer have the backing and deviousness of putin and fail. America wins. The world wins.
The limousine was authentic. The place was nice, a few blocks from the FSB headquarters.
But there was no "tremendous explosion" - the car just burnt. Every house had its windows intact, the car itself had its windows intact while burning, etc.
Explanations: technical malfunction, passer-by with fire cubes and a lighter.
First of all, this does not look like an assassination attempt. The engine caught fire. A Russian-made limousine. Might be (politically motivated) vandalism, might be "a Tesla".
There's no freedom of speech or poltical expression in Russia anymore. The state controls the media and the media control the narrative. This is the totalitarian approach. The disadvantage for Putin/Kreml is that they really don't know anymore how deep the resentment against them goes. And neither do we.
Of course the explanation will be that Ukrainian sympathisers did it, but I think it's easy to see that a Russian does not even have to be a Ukrainian sympathiser to want Putin dead.
Being a clever bastard with a gangster mindset, of course Putin would have been paranoid one way or the other, so that won't change much I think. But things like that happening - no matter if it will end up being explainable as a proper accident or a failed assassination attempt or whatever - tend to undermine the mythos of being invulnerable and always 3 steps ahead of the game, that people like Putin want to disseminate about themselves. That's my current hope in the political climate.
Wow its dangerous in Russia. Exploding cars, people keep falling out windows, accidentally shooting themselves in the back of the head repeatedly then falling down elevator shafts. Someone should establish some safety programs.
I don't know if I buy that the people are rising up, but maybe some oligarch got tired of Putin for some reason? Or maybe the KGB doesn't like how slow the conquering of Ukraine is going.
