But will it still overheat while wasting the battery doing nothing so I have to charge it in the middle of the day? Both my Pixel 6 and 7 had horrific battery life. I don't think I should give them another chance tbh.
I had Pixel 6 (2 of them thanks to my wife accidentally yeeting mine from our second story balcony) and currently have 7 pro. My battery life was/is fine on both models. Haven't charged my phone since I took it off the charger and it's sitting at 55%, granted it was a light use day. Usually finishes somewhere between 30-40%.
My pixel 2 and 3 had okay and shit battery life (respectively) for comparison. Switched to OnePlus after the 3 for a few years.
Probably not the right phone for you. Battery life in my experience has been average for me. Not great, but not awful either.
Reviews and personal experiences have been all over the place regarding the battery from what I've seen in reviews, social media, and forums. It just depends. The Pixel 7 Pro's battery has been about the same as the 14 Pro Max that I had, but worse than the 13 Pro Max. Better than the Pixel Fold that I'm using, but not as good as the Pixel 4 XL. For sure better than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from back in the day, but not as good as my HTC 10. Definitely not as good as the Pixel 5, but better than the Pixel 6 Pro. And so forth and so on...
Depends on my personal usage, but I'm on my phone constantly. For me, battery has been middle of the road.
It's weird because every Pixel I've had has had awful battery life. Pixel 2, 5, 6, and 7. But, in between those I've used different OnePlus phones and they had great battery life. I loved my OnePlus 7 Pro.
