China and France will hold three high-level talks this year on strategic, economic, financial and cultural issues, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced after meeting his French counterpart in Beijing.
- Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, nuclear energy, aviation and aerospace, while exploring innovative industries such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, green hydrogen and biomanufacturing.
- “Our common goal is a rapid solution, allowing us to focus on future partnerships and investment,” Barrot said, noting EU trade commissioner Maros Sefcovic’s ongoing discussions in Beijing.
Whats the end game here? If he keeps puttng trade barriers up no one will want to actually trade with the US?
Yes, that does appear to be one of his goals
He's expecting everybody to kowtow and afterwards do everything he says to receive some of that sweet sweet trade.

France appears to be learning the incorrect lesson from Trump's stupidity.
Sure, by all means build separation from the US as an unreliable partner. But maybe choose your next partner a little more wisely.
