I don’t know why not being lied to in the room at the WH would be a big loss for their reporting. Maybe just investigate and cover what they’re doing and tell folks that?
Also they are usually the source of a lot of downstream sites, since they're doing actual journalism.
They cannot do that If they are not there.
Maybe one of their reporters can get added to a group chat.
Perhaps instead of finding and breaking fresh news they can add fresh perspectives to existing news stories? God knows folks need more than just the info blasted at them - they need to be reminded that there are other ways of interpreting events than what they are given.

They still do exactly this. Their quality of reporting has not gone down at all. Getting the official lie from Traitorapist Trump on any topic does not add to the story at all. I actually prefer not hearing the unimportant lie Trump is telling on some specific story.
