Days per year above 75°F / 24°C in the US & Canada (OP Source: Brian Brettschneider @Climatologist49)

"above 24°C" seems a strangely arbitrary measure for "too hot". It's definitely hotter than I like, but I'm keenly aware that most people would call 24°C with sunshine a perfect summer day.

The original creator of this map (it was originally posted by OOP to twitter, but that site is now a hudge pudge), is from Alaska.
I live in a yellow area and over 75 is too hot 🤷‍♂️

As someone originally from a tropical country. 24C is still pretty pleasant. I would consider it too hot if it was over 30C.

Yea, im in ohio and even i would day that "too hot" starts around 80-85 (27-29). Above 75 (24) is definitely hot, but its not too hot.

I live near Houston, a couple summers ago we had 43 days in a row with highs above 100F/38C.

Yuck. What are the winters like?
- It usually doesn't get much colder than 40 or so. Once in a while it will actually freeze. But it's snowed 3 times in the 10 years I've lived here, and it was always less than 1-2" and didn't last the day. The coldest it's gotten since I've been here was 18F, but that was during the big winter storm of 2021 when most of TX lost power for a week+. Fortunately I'm in the part of Texas that gets is power from Entergy in Louisiana which is not a clusterfuck unlike ERCOT's deregulated hot garbage, so I was only out for a day and a half. Here's a composite image I made on that day showing snow on the ground, and the coldest temperature I saw indoors while the power was out. Fortunately I had big thick blankets.
Way up near the 45th parallel and it’s well above 110 here several days in the summer, like 3 weeks straight.

75F? Seems too low for “It’s Too Hot”. Pool time and beach time is generally more like 80-85. Id be freezing my ass off at a pool in the 70’s.

And I’ll take a cold beer and lounging in the shade when the humidity isn’t too high and it’s in the 80’s. Extra points for a generally low amount of clothing required.

100 to 200 is quite the range compared to the others.

It completely depends on the humidity. In Colorado at 75° it’s absolutely perfect.

I get popsicle toes at temperatures below 80F. Brown area for me, please.

24°C is a fantastic day's weather and I live in Canada.
