this implies that we're moving towards socialism when the last 40+ years have suggested otherwise.
The past 40+ years show that the ruling class will ruthlessly stomp out any and all attempts at moving towards socialism. Which is precisely what he's saying will happen in the video.
Capitalism will either need to reform itself into socialism or it will collapse and socialism will eventually take its place, either or this is right.
