Giving yourself a physical disability in a role-playing game does sound like something Picard would do.

What if Star Trek: The Next Generation was just a mass hallucination manipulating the minds of millions of people by Professor X?
23 0 ReplyI love Picard and TNG, but loved the X-men and Xavier long long before I ever watched Trek
3 0 ReplyAnd there is a official crossover that occurred long before Sir Patrick Stewart starred in the movies.

Makes sense, we already know they're in the same universe:
14 0 ReplySee i thought we agreed all media including other star trek shows are just Riker in the Holodeck. He is always just off camera. Also anytime you're in the same area as Jonathan Franks there is a 50% chance. Your life is just another Holodeck program of William Riker.
10 0 ReplyAnd Jonathan Frakes is a director! He's not even hiding it all that well!

4 0 ReplySo he likes to fantasize about Kamala as his surrogate daughter?
EDIT: In case you forgot or were unaware, Famke Janssen played Kamala in “The Perfect Mate” as well as Jean Grey in the original X-Men trilogy.
3 0 ReplyIs standing Picard a doll? Sorry, Action figure
2 0 ReplyPicard is less of an action figure and more of a diplomat figure.

This would explain why the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies never quite matched the comics or cartoons. For example, Picard couldn't remember the uniform colors, so he just riffed on a variations of uniforms he knew.
2 0 ReplyFinally, something I have in common with Picard
2 0 ReplyMaybe he met Melora and was like "I want to try out some sweet wheels!!!"
1 0 ReplyThat would be a good excuse for Masterminds as well.
