Four killed and six others injured in weekend crashes

We’re officially at a road death rate of one a day so far this year. Stay safe, don’t speed, be sober, belt up, and throw your phone in the boot.

Maybe drivers licenses should be tied to school results
- How would that help?
- Another great way to strip the poor of more freedoms.
  
  school is extremely easy now, its not fair to say that poor people cant pass highschool.
- Why, is there something else going on as well? I generally avoid the news so genuinely ignorant in this case.
NZ consistently has the worst drivers I've ever had the horror of driving with. Purposely speeding up on passing places. Driving erratically. Levels of entitlement over 9000.
No respect for other road users and a mentality similar to housing. "I've got mine so screw the rest of you"
Surprised the death toll isn't far higher.
