Ukraine ready to accept 30-day ceasefire as US says 'ball is now in Russia's court'
Ukraine and the United States engaged in talks in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, with Kyiv agreeing to a 30-day ceasefire proposed by the US. The Trump administration said it would immediately resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
Isn't this basically "the deal is done - we just need the other party to agree"? (same kind of announcement Israel and Hamas took turns at)
We’ll see. Russia reps stated they were not interested in ceasefire for the sake of ceasefire so it depends on what concessions Ukraine made or what other pressure is applied.
Am I the only one who thinks Putin would be stupid not to agree? All he has to do is wait long enough to force Ukrainian elections, then reinvade. Problem solved for him.
The public statement has been that Kremlin wants to get a permanent solution in place. They dont want to have a conflict on their borders in the future again.
