An alternative to Sonos?
Are there any good European alternatives to the American Sonos speakers? I currently have a Sonos soundbar and two speakers, that I have setup as a surround system.
Is this something an alternative is able to do? Preferably it would be nice if you could play music from the phone to the speakers as well.
Genelec is a Finnish company that manufactures high quality loudspeakers that are used by music studios, radio stations, orchestras, etc. around the world. Their home speakers are active (no need for a separate amplifier), quite compact and the subwoofers support 5.1 audio. Genelec's speakers aren't exactly cheap, but they're definitely a good alternative.
Triangle is french and is quite good 😊
Thanks, but I think my wife would kill me, if I placed such big speakers in the living room 😅

Sennheiser might be something to Check out (from Germany). I have only used headphones from Sennheiser so far but all headphones I ever had sounded really really good (for me). So I'm guessing their soundbar System is a really dezent one.

I think I've heard of people using their existing Sonos devices with Home Assistant. I'm usually wrong, but if I'm not this time, it could be a good route.
Nubert makes good speakers both active and passiv.
