The Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE, is taking aim at the BIA, the IHS and even the NIGC.

Leases?! I knew the American state treated native Americans horribly, but I didn’t know that even this aspect was so precarious.

No surprise from the south African slaver either. Exploit and steal all you can while telling people you’re doing it to save them money.
This is such a fucked up thing, that's literally pennies of the budget. Go after the ridiculous military and tax-dodging capitalists if you really want to eliminate waste
- Absolutely. OKC IHS does tons of good for the Native community and is the only one in the area. The next closest from the OKC area would be El Reno (~45 min away), but it's small. Anadarko or Watonga would be next and they're about an hour away and they're small, too. Hearing that it was being shuttered to recoup $120K was infuriating, but I shouldn't have been surprised they were willing to sacrifice lives for what is less than the average cost of a single home in the metro.
