Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo launches political comeback with a run for New York City mayor
Democrat’s entry into the race relaunches his political career following a yearslong exile over a barrage of sexual harassment accusations.
In a 17-minute video, Cuomo pitched himself as an accomplished moderate who can save a city he described as threatening and “out of control,” and is capable of navigating the delicate balance between working with Republican President Donald Trump and fighting him, when necessary.
“I am not saying this is going to be easy. It won’t be easy, but I know we can turn the city around, and I believe I can help,” he said.
The Democrat is expected to mount a formidable campaign, despite entering the race deeply wounded by the scandal that forced his resignation as governor in 2021.
"Working with Donald Trump" is a good call, given that Cuomo meets the basic requirement of being a sexual predator. And fighting him "when necessary?" If that isn't "literally all the time," then what are we even doing here?
Just another nepo baby trying to maintain a political dynasty who has no interest in the actual wellbeing of the common citizen.
Let an actual progressive run, for a change.

Brad Lander is a good candidate
Brad Lander is the only logical choice at the moment.
I would prefer Jumaane Williams.
Unfortunately Williams is running for reelection as Public Advocate but he would be my choice. If Adams ever resigned or got removed somehow, Williams would 100% be on the ballot and would probably win that primary easily.
I am going to be honest, in my opinion in the last 10-15 years rich conservatives have ruined NYC.
There are cool people and cool stuff there but damn I feel like they have been systematically disempowered in favor of mindbendingly rich people to a hyperbolic degree. Same story as other cities in the US, but something about NYC believing by default it is the center of the world makes it more suceptible to getting scammed by the rich and their pathetic lackeys.
