I know I'm pretty much alone on that, but it annoys me that this person is getting so much attention again.

Edit: Ok, I'm not entirely alone with this.
- You’re not alone. He thrives this way. People need to not be complacent.
- On one hand, yeah I wish I wouldn't have to hear about that piece of garbage ever again, but the mugshot is an exception because this little bit of justice feels like getting a nice bottle of cold water after being lost in a desert for years.
  
  If the mug shot is a nice cold bottle of water, his conviction is going to feel like that scene from Flashdance. My body is ready.
I'm not even in the USA. So half the time I'm like "what do I care"????
- Tbh America has quite a high influence in our world so we should care at least a little bit
  
  Totally agree with @toastymedic. People in my country listen to news about American politics and get really worked up about it.

  Sure it might be mildly interesting to spectate, but its not like you should care much.
- The US exports a lot of food. Are you sure you don't eat any?
  
  The US also has a massive export of weapons and violence. If I had to choose a reason to be concerned about US politics, I think it'd be that.

  What instances are you people browsing on??? In both lemm.ee and lemmy.world I see one or two posts about Trump and then nothing for like 3 pages... I see one meme with his mugshot and one news article on lemmy.world, and lemm.ee has the same meme and the politics megathread. I have to scroll pretty deep after that to see anything else even mentioning him.
