Worries about Musk having access to my banking info (US)

What do you imagine Musk is going to do with this information? Our financial data was already quite leaky before DOGE appeared.

In my opinion, this is just another leak in an already leaky boat, and I have no plans to make changes because of it.

Switching banks and services just means that you'll have spent time.

Seriously, if someone has access to your banking info and can use it for harm because they've infiltrated the government, why would switching banks do anything? They'd just have the nee information later the same day

Is the issue that you have given the govt electronic access to a particular account? You could revoke their access. If you're really paranoid, you could change it to a different account in the same institution. I know there's a lot of insanity in Washington, but I don't see a scenario where it leads to errors where they wrongly take money from an account that you gave them access to for tax payment purposes.
